About
Carly King is an independent singer-songwriter and recording artist in Nashville. She grew up in a small commuter town in New Jersey, but has spent the majority of her adulthood exploring the Mountain West.
A near lifelong songwriter, Carly is all too familiar with life’s uncertainties. Having lost her father at the age of 4 to the terrorist attacks of September 11th, King's sound embodies the depth of her inner world and lived-in experiences of loss and love, her search for purpose, and the unwavering comfort she finds in the outdoors.
In 2020, she introduced the world to her sound and her heart with her self-produced debut single, “Mountains, Alone.” The track quickly amassed millions of streams, an honorable mention from American Songwriter, multiple sync placements, and was dubbed a song "on repeat" by Spotify Picks.
Since then, Carly has completed a self-produced EP “From A to B”: a collection of road-tripping love songs, ballads, and folk tales from her summers solo touring across the country. Which housed another breakout single “Trust Me, Honey”
In 2026 King will release her debut album “Loving you is Easy” which is an earthy and emotionally stirring collection of folk country earworms, driven by her distinctly sandy vocals and alight with sparkling pop sensibility. Kacey Musgraves, Madi Diaz, Courtney Marie Andrews.
On her first full-length, she discovers that meaning in the humblest details of humanity—dusty floors, school buses, bobby pins, weathered boots—penning odes and anthems to the magic of the mundane. In a life where everything precious is fleeting, King holds simplicity as a sacred thread:
Loving you is easy / It's a life that's hard.
